FLOWER TRAVELLIN' BAND's "SATORI" is being reissued on white colored vinyl!A masterpiece that continues to receive enthusiastic support not only in Japan but also overseas. Released in 1971, this was the first album produced by a Japanese artist with the overseas market in mind. It was released simultaneously in the US, Canada and Japan, with the single "SATORI PART2" reaching number 8 in Canada. With Eastern thought becoming popular in the West, a major feature of this album was the incorporation of Eastern and Japanese sounds. Japan at this time was also in the midst of a transition from GS to folk, and there were still few people who were receptive to rock, but the band's progressive sound continues to be supported to this day. |
