Although it was created as a song for children, it received many different interpretations when it was released.Released in 1966, this is the only Beatles single released in the UK with Ringo Starr on lead vocals. It was released as a double A-side single with "Eleanor Rigby." Both songs were included in the 7th album "Revolver" released on the same day. They were also included in the soundtrack of the animated movie "Yellow Submarine" based on this work. When they were released, they received various social interpretations, and some even speculated that they were songs about drugs. |
