"Muu" was a TBS Wednesday drama that aired from May 18th to November 9th, 1977. It starred Shiro Ito, Kayoko Kishimoto, Hiromi Go, Kirin Kiki, Misako Watanabe, Kentaro Shimizu, Sansaburo Ban, Toru Yuri, Tonpei Hidari, and many other guests, and became a legendary comedy drama. The LP released as the soundtrack to the drama includes popular songs such as "Muu's Theme" and "Ghost Rock'n'Roll" by Ichiro Araki, and the jacket design and illustrations were done by Tadanori Yokoo, making it a valuable record of the era. There are 12 instrumental tracks in total. The theme song "Muu's Theme," a raga-style rock song using a sitar, overlaps with the image of the jacket of Tadanori Yokoo, who was devoted to Indian spiritual culture. All tracks except the first one were re-recorded for this album, and can be enjoyed as cutting-edge electronic music of the time, making extensive use of synthesizers.
