A story of everyday life told by a master storyteller
A 12-inch that mixes humor and sarcasm from Slick Rick's mature period.
"Sittin' In My Car" depicts a scene from everyday life in a unique way, fully demonstrating Rick's narrative-rich rap style. The B-side, "Cuz It's Wrong," also contains a moral message, but is delivered over an easy-to-listen-to beat. It's a good example of how humor and message can coexist in mid-90s hip-hop.
