This album beat out John Lenon's posthumous work "Double Fantasy" to take the number one spot on the annual album charts. The ninth album released in 1980. This masterpiece ultimately sold over 10 million copies. The lead single "Keep On Loving You" was the band's first number one hit in the US. Of the 10 songs included in this album, six were released as singles, making it their strongest album to date. This is a masterpiece that represents 80's American Rock. The Japanese title is "Forbidden Night", but the original title is completely different, "Hi Infidelity", a play on the audio term "High Fidelity (Hi-Fi)", which means "high reproducibility". |
